Decided to clean my room, holy cow I am finding some ridic memories. It’s so funny how we don’t realize that we’ve all changed so drastically. And the moment we look back, who we were seems so far away. I found my first love letter from 8th grade, birthday cards, christmas and graduation cards. Notes my bff and I would pass along to each other gossiping about anything and everything, making up code names for boys we had crushes on.. I found date contracts, posters from being asked to homecoming, pictures that used to hang from my wall, dance pictures of all my friends, orchestra sheet music I kept instead of returning them to Mr. Steves. I know I’ll never play them again, but I wanted to keep the favorites. Stuffed animals from boys… So many stuffed animals. Why so many stuffed animals!? They are useless! I also found old and flat tennis balls, childhood books.. and by childhood I mean huge story books with font size as big as my hands, tons of children’s bibles, and oh my lanta CD’s for days! And cassette tapes of movies like Pokemon and Sailor Moon.. Toy Story and Land Before Time. Old trinkets and bracelets made from precious best friends, and a christmas necklace I used to wear every year.. Old homework assignments and grade reports along with sat scores and my collection of detention slips! I am way too badass. My planners and calendars with all the things I did and didn’t do.. Journals and diaries, ranting about stupid things.. Like boys. And boys. And more boys. Goodness. I’ve even managed to keep tags and receipts for what seems like every article of clothing I’ve ever purchased. I may have a minor hoarding issue, but I can’t bring myself to throw any of these things away. I’m sitting here with piles of shit everywhere, but all bring back so many precious memories I can’t just toss out. I found my old CD player with my Avril Levine and Usher CD’s.. I found little toy cars and high school spirit gear.. I found award letters for perfect attendance and completing middle school, I found trophies for the spelling bee and a jar full of paper stars.. I found old text books I never returned and elementary books.. Junnie B Jones was the ish. All time favorite series hands down. I’m too afraid to even open the box of letters and notes I’ve collected over the years.. It started as one note and now its grown to two big and near exploding boxes. As I prepare to move back in for the summer, I’m trying to make room for my new things. So what do I do with the old? There just isn’t enough room for both.. Nostalgia to the max.

PS. I have at least 10 sweaters that are sizes L and XL.. To the boys I’ve borrowed them from and never returned.. Sorry bout it. They’re going to goodwill now!
